Bishop Kenneth H. Dupree, a native of Dayton, Ohio, answered God's call to preach the gospel at the age of twelve. He attended the University of Cincinnati majoring in Psychology.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the American Baptist College of the American Baptist Theological Seminary.  He continued advanced studies in a dual degree program at the prestigious Scarritt Graduate School and Vanderbilt University School of Divinity.  St. Thomas Christian College honored Bishop Dupree by conferring upon him the Doctor of Divinity Degree.


Prior to coming to Nashville, Bishop Dupree, blessed and gifted with phenomenal musical prowess, toured the country with the world renowned Charles Fold Singers. While spreading the Gospel in this ministry, they were blessed to be recipients of the coveted Grammy Award fro their recording with the King of Gospel, the late Reverend James Cleveland.  Bishop Dupree's musical gifts continue to bless countless thousands through the release of his latest CD entitled, Messages & Melodies for Conquerors, a project he co-produced and arranged.


Bishop Dupree provided leadership at the National Baptist Publishing Board, the nation's oldest minority owned religious publishing company, for five years.  Additionally, he served as Dean of Christian Education for the National Sunday ChurchSchool and BTU Congress, an educational conference attracting in excess of twenty thousand participants annually.  He was also a contributing writer to the African American Devotional Bible produced by the Congress of National Black Churches (CNBC) and published by Thomas Nelson Publishing.  Bishop Dupree's experience and expertise in publishing positioned him to be one of the chief consultants and negotiators for Bishop T.D. Jake's best selling release, "The Lady, Her Lover & Her Lord."


As Senior Pastor of The Victory Church of Nashville Inc., Bishop Dupree is providing powerful and positive leadership to a thriving congregation as well as, to a community desperately in need of a caring and loving shepherd.    His commitment to excellence and attention to the smallest detail continue to propel the ministry to higher dimensions.


Nationally, Bishop Dupree provides oversight and leadership to the southwestern Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies Inc., a jurisdiction encompassing Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.


Bishop Dupree serves as chairman of the board for the Victory Empowerment Center of Nashville, a CDC dedicated to providing educational and economic resources to low to moderate income families in the greater Nashville/Davidson County communities. He also serves as a board member of Brentwood Academy; Chaplain and Board member of The Gospel Music Association (GMA); and the National Convention of Gospel Choirs & Choruses.


Bishop Dupree is called upon often to preach, teach and lecture in churches, conferences, and corporate meetings throughout the United States and in various countries around the world.  His travels have taken him to Rome, Italy where he was given a personal guided tour through the Vatican which included viewing the private residence of the Pope; a privilege that few if any westerners receive.
